Second topic: Experiences
Living the IB Life
We started to study this topic in the second trimester. I was a bit worried because Mr. Samaniego has talked about an activity related to showing a talent that we have, and I was like: OMG!, what am I going to do? But we did something very similar even though it wasn't about a talent.
This topic was very interesting because we did a lot of things to learn and enjoy this topic. Also, this topic allowed me to get along better with my classmates because we had to share some personal aspects and it was pretty good.
The reunion party
It was one of the most memorable activities we have ever done. Even this activity belong to the first topic, I consider this also can be included in this area.
Mr. Samaniego asked us to dress up as whatever we wanted or whatever we wanted to be in the future, and I went dressed as a homeless because I wanted to show my classmates something and have fun with them.
All the classmates arrived one by one in the classroom, there was music and pizza, some snacks and soda. After greeting each other, we acted as if we hadn't seen each other in years and caught up on what we had done during the time we hadn't seen each other after leaving high school.
At the end of the party, I think that was the best part of the party, because everyone started introducing themselves one by one, and telling what they had achieved and when it was my turn, I started talking about how I wasn't really homeless as I had told them.
I also said that I had only said those things to see their reactions and teach them a lesson, they reacted and I think it made a good impact on them and also on me about not judging people by their appearance.
Meeting my classmates: experiences and identities

| Something like this we did to answer the questions. |
- How do I present myself to others?
- How much physical appearance matters to me?
- How do I express my identity?
- To what extend the clothes I wear reflect my personality?
